Banks
On Tenerife there are a great number of banks. There is a bank within the international arrivals lounge at the Tenerife South Airport, Reina Sofía, which operates daily except Sundays and public holidays. NO currency exchange facilities are available at Tenerife North Airport (Los Rodeos). Banks regularly open at 9 am. and close at 2 p.m. There are many bureau de change outlets which offer competitive exchange rates. Currency can also be changed at your hotel or residential complex receptions. Many banks are available in Puerto de la Cruz, and they open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00. Credit cards are widely accepted in Tenerife (restaurants, hotels, etc.). VISA credit card or other cards will also be accepted at banks when you need to obtain cash.
